This being Giorgio de Chirico’s birthday, I’m adding this link to his contemporary epitome Trevor Winkfield.

It’s an entertaining interview, and includes several images of Winkfield’s unique vision. Both de Chirico and Trevor Winkfield were favourites of John Ashbery.
